How to express gratitude in a Indian cultural way?
ByI have this Indian (not Native American) classmate and she did the sweetest thing and gave me some hair elastics that I complimented her on in class one day. Well I thanked her, but I just felt that was not enough; I feel like she really went out of her way to share with me something she actually brought back from India. What are some ways Indians express thanks? How can I show her I am truly thankful for her thoughtful in a typical Indian way? I’m just trying to return the favor in a way she can truly relate since she is a foreign student. Thanks for your help in advance!
I am Indian too. If she is staying alone here or smth, she might feel lonely by herself. The one thing u can do is to treat her to a nice lucnh with ur fam(if u can) I am sure she will love this since we indians are suckers for family love.
